Development – Progress – Fidelity
It was in 1912 that Joseph Bruchez first entered his cellar into the Canton Valais Commercial Register. After emigrating from his native Val de Bagnes, Joseph decided to market the vines he was growing, looking after those of the priory of Lens at the same time. He founded his cellar in Vaas, a little winemaking hamlet in the municipality of Lens.
His son Henri took on the family business in 1945 and continued to develop it until finally transforming it into a public limited company in 1963. A year later, on the strength of his company’s burgeoning success and growing renown, Henri built an annex that allowed him to increase his cellaring capacity.
In 1979, his son-in-law Guy Rey was named as manager of Vins Bruchez SA. Guy is completely at home with even the most modern technology, and has made significant improvements to the wine production process, all the while respecting cherished family traditions. His son Sébastien Rey joined the business in 2005, after studying oenology at the Haute école de Changins for two years.

The family-run winery Gregor Kuonen Caveau de Salquenen was founded in 1979. The love of our vines is the basis for our superb wines. The south-facing slopes around Salgesch also provide the ideal soil for our vineyard and are blessed with over 300 days of sunshine a year. We vinify the harvested grapes with our unique blend of passion, the experience of many years and great patience to produce over 60 exquisite wines. We are satisfied with only the very best: superb wines that accompany our wine lovers in their most beautiful moments.
Patrick Revey succeeded Charles Kuonen in 2016 and today manages the winery jointly with the founding partner François Kuonen. His daughter Larissa Kuonen, an oenologist, shares the responsibility for the quality of our top wines.

Domaines Rouvinez is a family-run business founded in 1947 by Bernard Rouvinez, an independent winemaker, and then expanded and developed by his sons, Dominique and Jean-Bernard, both of whom are winegrowers and oenologists. The family tradition was assured with the entry into the company of Véronique Besson-Rouvinez as oenology and quality manager, Philippe Rouvinez as supervisor of commercial activities, and Frédéric Rouvinez as managing director.
From the beginning, the Rouvinez family have focused on producing top-quality wines, with a particular emphasis on the great specialities of Valais, such as Arvine and Cornalin. They have played a pioneering role in the creation of blended wines including Le Tourmentin, La Trémaille and Les Grains Nobles.
The Rouvinez family’s passion for excellence continued with its development of two grand crus from exceptional terroirs: Le Cœur de Domaine blanc and Le Cœur de Domaine rouge, both matured in 6000-litre Swiss oak casks.
Another four grands crus complete its range: the Marsanne, Petite Arvine, and Syrah wines in the Sierre Grand Cru series, and the Cornalin Leytron Grand Cru. These four wines were developed in collaboration with Didier de Courten, the talented chef at Sierre’s Le Terminus restaurant. The term grand cru is a regional appellation granted exclusively to AOC wines that meet a demanding range of criteria.
These are exceptional wines, matured with passion and care.

The Domaine Caprice du Temps was founded in 1980 by Hugues Clavien. In 1995, his son Léonard, who holds a qualification in winemaking and oenology from the Haute école de Changins, devoted himself full-time to the running of the estate.
The range of wines is quite considerable, and includes some twenty different bottlings. There are complex, barrel-matured blends based on the classic Fendant and Pinot Noir grape varieties, as well as rarer, traditional wines, such as Humagne Blanc and Païen, which express typical varietal characteristics.
Clients are welcome at the pergola, situated close to the cellar, or at the estate’s cosy carnotzet.
